There’s something about toilet paper that brings out a cat’s weirdness and aggression – almost a lot like a dog, only that the former is white, inanimate, and always ends up a mess. How often have you caught your kitty following you to the bathroom with a keen eye on the roll of TP hanging by the toilet bowl? More important question: how often have you shuffled into the bathroom only to be welcomed by the sight of shredded TP? Yup, we all know who the culprit is.
One theory that attempts to explain this baffling behavior is that cats seek warmth from toilet paper, which explains why you would often catch your cat unrolling the TP and sitting on it. Another has a much simpler explanation: cats are playful creatures. They need an outlet for all the excitement building up inside of them. Don’t fret – there are ways to reduce this behavior if it so terrorizes you to see TP rolls go to waste but before you resort to those, take a picture of your guilty cat and share it with the rest of the Internet.
1. Well, you know what they say about black cats.
